Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

        Pick-up Location: Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
        Drive Time: Approx. 6 hours (325 km)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and journey through Kenya’s northern frontier towards Samburu National Reserve, famous for its unique wildlife and scenic landscapes.Stop at Equator Line for a photo session and a short demonstration of the Coriolis Effect.Arrive at Samburu Game Lodge / Ashnil Samburu Camp for check-in and lunch.Enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you’ll spot Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and reticulated giraffe.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Samburu National Reserve

Enjoy morning and evening game drives, increasing your chances of spotting the Big Cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants along the Ewaso Nyiro River.Visit a Samburu cultural village to experience the traditional Maasai-like lifestyle of the Samburu people.Relax at the lodge with stunning views of the savannah.

Day 3: Samburu – Mount Kenya National Park

Drive Time: Approx. 3 hours (190 km)

After breakfast, drive to Mount Kenya National Park, home to Africa’s second-highest mountain.Arrive at Serena Mountain Lodge, a luxurious tree hotel offering spectacular wildlife viewing from your balcony.Enjoy guided nature walks in the forests of Mount Kenya, where you can spot Colobus monkeys, elephants, and an array of bird species.Optional hiking experience to the lower slopes of Mount Kenya.

Day 4: Mount Kenya – Lake Nakuru National Park

Drive Time: Approx. 4 hours (230 km)

Depart after breakfast and drive to the famous Lake Nakuru National Park, a UNESCO-listed birdwatcher’s paradise.Arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for check-in and lunch.Afternoon game drive, where you’ll witness thousands of flamingos, pelicans, and other migratory birds along the shores of Lake Nakuru.

Spot white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards, and waterbucks.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

      Drive Time: Approx. 5 hours (280 km)

Early breakfast, then drive to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve.Arrive at Mara Serena Safari Lodge / Ashnil Mara Camp for lunch and rest.Afternoon game drive through the rolling plains of Masai Mara, home to Africa’s Big Five and the famous Great Migration.Sunset photography session before heading back to the lodge.

Day 6 & 7: Full Days in Masai Mara – Game Drives & Optional Activities
