5 DAYS SAFARIS TO MAASAI MARA
5 Days Maasai Mara Safari takes you to the largest National parks and the most famous in Kenya. The locals call the place the Mara. Maasai Mara game reserve is the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Maasai Mara is popular due to the annual wildebeest migration and for the Big 5: Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards and Rhinos. Hippos, Giraffes, Wildebeests, Zebras, Warthogs, Hyenas, Jackals, Wild dogs and many kinds of Antelopes also roam in plenty in Maasai Mara.
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara safari
You will be met by a company representative at the hotel/airport followed by a briefing on the journey then you will start the journey to Maasai mara. We will have a stopover at the view point where we will be able to have a scenic view of the overlying rift valley escarpment which spreads out the valley below creating beautiful scenery. We will then head out towards Narok town where we will have our lunch before getting on with our journey to the Mara. Upon arrival, we will check in at the camp then have an evening game drive before getting back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay at Rhino Tourist camp
Day 2: Masai Mara Full day
After an early breakfast, you will have a full day game drive with packed lunch. Make your way to Mara River where you might be lucky enough to witness the spectacular view of the wildebeest migration. The early morning is particularly best for the viewing because the view is much clearer and you will also be able to spot different animals like zebras’ hyenas, buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards and cheetahs. You will enjoy your packed lunch then go on with the game drive before getting back to the Rhino Tourist camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Masai mara full day
After breakfast proceed for full day games viewing with picnic lunch as you explore this spectacular Park. The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara's birds, occur in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Tourist camp.
Day 4: Masai mara full day
After breakfast , proceed for a full day game viewing in search of the wildebeest migration from Serengeti to Maasai Mara looking for green pasture where you will also spot other animals like zebras , eland and Thompson’s gazelles where they also face a lot of danger while crossing Mara River you will have your packed lunch before we proceed with our afternoon game drive looking for the big five animals like Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino as you take photo of images and foot print of the animals. Going back to Rhino Tourist Camp for Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 5: Masai mara to Nairobi
Early morning game drive before breakfast, after the game drive we will have our breakfast then check out of the lodge to Nairobi where you will have a stopover lunch in Narok. Arrival to Nairobi which will be our final destination
