Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Samburu National Reserve

Depart Nairobi early and travel north across the equator into the semi-arid Samburu region. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the reserve. Samburu is known for its distinct wildlife, including the “Samburu Special Five”: the Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, and reticulated giraffe. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Samburu Camp or Lodge

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu

Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve on morning and afternoon game drives. Along the Ewaso Nyiro River, you may spot elephants, crocodiles, lions, leopards, and more. The landscapes are stunning, with acacia woodlands and red earth providing a unique backdrop for wildlife photography.

Overnight: Samburu Camp or Lodge

Day 3: Samburu – Drive to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart Samburu and head south toward the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Naivasha in the afternoon. After lunch and check-in, enjoy a boat ride on the lake where you can spot hippos, fish eagles, and other bird species. Optional visit to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes and antelope.

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Lodge

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to nearby Lake Nakuru National  Park. Enjoy a game drive through this scenic park known for its population of black and white rhinos, tree-climbing lions, and flocks of flamingos along the lake. Explore the park's woodland, savannah, and cliffs before settling into your accommodation.

Overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge or Camp

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Return to Nairobi

After  breakfast, begin the return journey to Nairobi. Arrive in the city in the afternoon with drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your 5-days  safari adventure.
