Amboseli National Park is famous for its stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro and its large herds of free-ranging elephants. The swamps and wetlands of Amboseli also make it a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 400 species recorded.This 2-day safari will begin from Nairobi Kenya’s capital city and head to Amboseli National Park located 240km southeast of Nairobi. You will be picked in Nairobi and dropped off in Nairobi after the safari.

Itinerary:

Day1: Nairobi-Amboseli National Park

Early morning departure from the hotel heading to Amboseli National Park which is located southeast of Nairobi 240km away, with a scenic drive along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. After arrival of the park, you’ll get to enjoy a mid-morning game drive on the way to your accommodation. Amboseli National Park is famously known for its large herds of elephants. It is also home to a variety of wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras etc. and over 400 bird species. Enjoy lunch at the hotel with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later on, you’ll go for an afternoon game drive then return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (Full-board basis Amboseli Sopa Lodge).

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, early morning game drive as you get to capture the best view of Mount Kilimanjaro at sunrise and spot predators of the wild returning from a night hunt. Later on, you’ll get to enjoy a mid-morning cultural visit to a Maasai village to experience their way of life, dances and crafts. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon there’s an optional visit to the observation Hill for a sweeping view of Amboseli’s wetlands, swamps and wildlife. Depart for Nairobi for drop-off.
