Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve – Afternoon Game Drive
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive north through the scenic central highlands, passing Mt. Kenya en route. Arrive at Samburu National Reserve around midday and check in at your lodge or camp in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the reserve. Explore the dry but wildlife-rich terrain, keeping an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, and the rare “Samburu Special Five.” The Ewaso Nyiro River is a lifeline in the park and an excellent place to spot animals coming to drink.

Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Game Viewing in Samburu
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives exploring different parts of the reserve. Samburu’s landscape is marked by acacia trees, rocky hills, and the winding river, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings and photography.

You will also get a chance to observe crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species such as martial eagles, kingfishers, and hornbills. Enjoy a picnic lunch or return to the lodge for a hot meal, depending on your preference.
In the evening, relax at your lodge and take in the views of the rugged wilderness.

Day 3: Samburu to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out from your lodge and begin your drive back to Nairobi with a lunch stop on the way. Arrive in Nairobi late in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable Samburu adventure
