A tour driver/ guide picks you up from your hotel and brings you first through Nairobi Animal Orphanage. A visit to the orphanage gives up-close viewing of animals such as Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Warthogs, Crested Cranes, Antelopes and Baboons, among other wild animals. The orphanage was established in 1964 as a refuge for wild animals found abandoned, orphaned or injured throughout Kenya. After a break you can find a local restaurant for lunch.
Later, your guide takes you to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where orphaned elephants are brought and nursed until they can be released back into the wild. During a tour of the place, discover the conservation and protection efforts being taken by the organization, as well as the dangers elephants face on their own. Your final stop of the day is at the Giraffe Centre, where you can learn about and even hand-feed endangered Rothschild giraffes before heading back to your hotel.
