9 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru Budget Lodge Safari

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon arrival at Nairobi, meet and greet by our representative who will transfer you to Masai Mara with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point for photos and then drive to the lodge for check in and lunch. Masai Mara national reserve is a large game reserve and rich in wildlife in the south western Kenya. Which is effectively the northern continuation for the Serengeti national park in Tanzania. Mara is famous for its exceptional population of big cats. Game and annual migration of zebra, Thomson gazelles and wilder beast from the Serengeti every year from July to October a migration so immense that is called the Great migration Its home to the Big five,  others include zebra, giraffe, wilder beasts, antelopes, gazelles, cheetah, topi, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up early in the morning for a full breakfast and start the full day game drive with picnic lunch till evening time. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve

The whole day will be used to explore the vast Maasai Mara. The animals of the Masai Mara are the star of the show, providing drama and intrigue against a backdrop of spectacular scenery. You might notice a Masai Moran standing on one foot herding hundreds of cow or shepherding goats and sheep holding a single stick or a spear, that’s their way of living. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Full day in Maasai Mara National reserve

Our full day in the Masai Mara national reserve will be spared for the search of the big cats of the Masai Mara and the spectacular view of the famous migration. During game viewing remember to keep a sharp lookout, you may witness a dramatic hunt; a solitary leopard retrieving its kill from the high branches of an acacia tree or a herd of elephants protecting their young from predators. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve

The day will be used to explore Maasai Mara. The Mara is one of the richest wildlife spectacular scenery for the annual migration, the Masai Mara wildebeest migration is now considered to be one of the wonders of the world, especially as they cross the Mara River. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve

The day will be spent in exploring the reserve. The reserve is also regarded as the most spectacular wildlife viewing area in Kenya with over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. Game viewing is never dull in the Mara and patience is rewarded with unique sightings, such as a pride of lion stalking prey. You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru national park

Wake up at hours and take your full breakfast, then depart to Lake Nakuru national park with a stopover on the way for a short break. Arrive at the gate and make a game drive en-route to the lodge, arrive and check in and lunch at the lodge. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift valley soda lake at an elevation of 1754 m. above the sea level its lies to the south of Nakuru Town in the Rift valley of Kenya and its protected by lake Nakuru National park which is managed by K.W.S and the park is electric fence to avoid the wildlife and human conflict. The lake is abundance of algae attractors the vast quantity of millions Flamingoes and pelicans that famously line the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area as do water hog, baboons, and other large mammals. Black and white Rhinos have also been introduced in Lake Nakuru. The park was established 1961 and its major attraction includes grassland savanna acacia forest eurbian candelabra, Makalia falls, cliffs, Thomson gazelles, leopards, cheetah, lions, common Zebras. Start your evening game watch up to sun downer. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Full day in Nakuru national park

Spend the whole day to explore the park. Lake Nakuru is referred as pink lake for its thousands of pink flamingos and other bird life-it’s a bird watchers paradise. It has a surprisingly number of animals, it is a rhino sanctuary and the “Big Five” except the elephant can be seen here, afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Lake Nakuru- Nairobi

Breakfast will be served at around 0700hrs there after proceed for the game drive, you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizable number of the endangered White and Black rhinos as well as Rothschild giraffe. Water bucks, predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of bird life in and around the lake. Flamingos are also plenty at the lake. Leave for Nairobi late afternoon arriving in Nairobi in the evening with a drop off to the hotel of your choice or back to the airport to catch up with your flight.
