7 Days Amazing Safari in Kenya

This safari combines the best of Kenya national parks. Samburu embodies some rare species of wildlife such as the reticulated giraffes, Somali ostrich, and Grevy's zebra among so many others. The Aberdare is home for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks among others. Lake Nakuru provides habitat for warthogs, water-buck, buffaloes, reed-bucks, and the occasional leopards. Finish with Mara which offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sun downers back at your camp.

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu

You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel by the driver. Immediately depart for Samburu passing through the Equator Line to Samburu land. Arrive with a short game drive en route to the lodge / camp for lunch. After lunch, relax before an afternoon game drive. Samburu Park has unique residents including the reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, Beisa Oryx, and the blue-legged Somali ostrich. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 2: Samburu full day

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique Northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffes, Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebras, and the long-necked gerenuks. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape, dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table top mount Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3: Samburu to Aberdares National Park

Have an early morning breakfast and immediately depart for Aberdares to arrive at lunch time. Lunch will be served at Aberdares Country Club, sister facility to The Ark Lodge. Later, enjoy a joint game drive as you drive to Treetops lodge for dinner and overnight stay. At the lodge, you will enjoy game viewing at a deck overlooking a waterhole.

Day 4: Aberdares to Lake Nakuru

Leave Aberdares for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at the camp. Relax and later have afternoon game drive. You will meet great masses of flamingos, not forgetting the endangered white and black rhinos found in this park.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru for Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch. You will have a game drive as you head to the camp for lunch. Another game drive will be at 16:00. Look out for lions, cheetahs, elephants, and buffalos.

Day 6: Maasai Mara - full-day game drives

This whole day will be spent with morning and afternoon game drives that lead one to some of Africa's largest lion prides, herds of zebras, antelopes, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. In between game drives, there will be a picnic lunch along the banks of Mara River.

Day 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Have breakfast at the lodge and depart for Nairobi to arrive by lunch time. Upon arrival, you will be driven to Carnivore Restaurant for lunch. Afterwards, drop off at a hotel of your choice or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) to catch your outbound flight.
