4 DAYS MASAI MARA WILDEBEEST MIGRATION SAFARI.

The wildebeest migration is ranked as one of the seven wonders as millions of wildebeest, zebras  and antelopes  cross from the vast Serengeti in Tanzania into Kenya’s  Masai mara national reserve. Their journey starts during the dry season in Serengeti and the short rains in Kenya giving them a source of food across the border.

Day 1: Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve.

You shall be picked from your hotel in Nairobi in the morning after taking breakfast. Depart for Masai Mara trough the rift valley stooping over at view point to explore the beautiful escarpments. Arrive Narok town in time for lunch; stop over for lunch at a hotel. Thereafter leave for Masai mara national reserve, accommodation shall be provided, check in and leave for the afternoon-evening game drive.

The Mara is rich with breathtaking natural features. The vast grass land with acacia and baobab trees provide a habitat for great variety of wildlife. You shall be able to spot herds of zebras, dik-diks, rhinos, giraffes, lions, warthogs and others.

After the game drive you shall head to the lodge or the tented camp for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Mara River migration.

After breakfast, carry packed picnic lunch and leave for the mara river where all the magic happens. Drive towards the river as you spot the animals graze across the park .At the mara river, millions of wildebeest cross as the Nile crocodiles await in the waters. The lucky survivors finally reach the park where they graze in the vast green grassland. The wonderful creatures will graze in Kenya until the grass is exhausted and the water sources dry up. Then they will migrate back to Serengeti where thy will be experiencing short rains.

In the evening return to the lodge or the camp for dinner, rest and relaxing.

Day 3: Masai Mara   game drive.

Go for a game drive early in the morning before breakfast. This will give you better chances of spotting animals as they graze and/ or the predators like Hyenas, leopards, lions, jackal hunt. Return to the lodge for breakfast.

Spend the rest of the day in the game drive exploring the beautiful serenity of the park and the natural resources it holds. Varieties of wild animals to be spotted are lions, wildbeest, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, zebras, antelopes among others

Optional hot air balloon safari is also available at an extra cost of 450 usd per person

Day 4: Masai Mara –Nairobi.

Take breakfast then leave for the Masai village safari as a way of giving back to the community. The Masai villages are just adjacent to the park where they live in household called Manyatta. Accompanied by a local tour guide, there you will be entertained by the locals with their cultural dances, artifacts, bead work and life history.

Thereafter, check out of the lodge and leave the park for Nairobi. On arrival you shall be dropped at your hotel or the airport.
