2 Days Shimba Hills National Reserve Safari
Shimba hills is one of the popularly visited wildlife sanctuaries in the Coast Province. The park covers thirty three kilometers south west of Mombasa city and is situated in Kwale district, Coast Province. The Shimba Hills National Reserve, also known as The Sable Antelope Paradise because is the only park in Kenya where you can find this rare sable antelope. This 2 days safari will take you to Shimba Hills National Reserve home to the rare sable antelope and also you will explore rolling grasslands and thick forests home to elephants, impala, giraffe, buffaloes, other small mammals and a huge variety of bird species.
Day 1: Nairobi-Shimba Hills National Reserve
Depart the hotel after breakfast then drive to Shimba Hills National Reserve as soon as we arrive at the Reserve you will begin our game viewing as we move towards Shimba Hills Lodge for check in. where you will see some wildlife among them elephants, various antelopes including the rare and endangered sable and roan antelopes. Lunch will be had at the Shimba lodge the only tree hotel at the coast. Shimba Hills Lodge enjoys great views and overlooks a waterhole where you can see wildlife congregating as well as experience the beautiful bird life. Afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Shimba Hills National Reserve - Nairobi
After breakfast you will proceed for a guided walk to the Sheldrick's falls accompanied by a ranger Watch water splashing atop a cliff 30 Meters high and the water forms a natural pool .Later with game viewing en-route check out of the reserve and drive back to Nairobi.
