Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls - Boat safari

Early in the morning after breakfast your driver will pick you up and you will start your safari to north from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park is the largest conservation area in Uganda. The park’s name derives from its famous waterfall: the mighty Murchison Falls, which are formed where the Victoria Nile powerfully forces its way through a narrow cleft before plunging 43 meters down with a thunderous roar.

The mighty Nile River divides the park into its north and south sections. You will arrive in the park just in time for lunch. After lunch, you will take a boat safari up the Nile River to Murchison Falls. As the river attracts large numbers of game, a boat safari up the Nile provides the perfect opportunity to see and photograph the animals. You will be watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys, and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts.

After the boat safari, you will hike to the top of the falls. By car or after a short hike, you can reach the “top of the falls” from where you will have a wonderful view of the extraordinary falls and the river snaking below as well as fantastic photo opportunities. Day 2: Game drive - Rhino tracking

After early breakfast, you will go on a game drive to explore the northern part of the park. You may have to spot the African animals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelopes, and many tropical birds that can be spotted during the game drive.

After the game drive, you will cross the Nile River and head back to Kampala with en route lunch. You will then proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will track Rhinos on foot with rangers and get within close distance of them. On this two-day safari, you might see the Big Five. You will continue to Kampala or Entebbe and arrive in the late evening.
