Day 1: Nairobi – Mount Longonot – Lake Naivasha

Morning: Journey to the Rift Valley

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. After a hearty breakfast, our experienced guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport, setting off towards the majestic Great Rift Valley. A brief stop at the Rift Valley Viewpoint offers breathtaking panoramic views, the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos of the escarpment stretching as far as the eye can see.

Conquering Mount Longonot

Upon arrival at Mount Longonot National Park, prepare for an exhilarating hike up this dormant volcano. The trek to the rim is about 3.1 km, but the challenge is rewarded with jaw-dropping views from the top, standing at 2,776 meters above sea level. For those with extra energy, a hike around the crater rim (about 7 km) offers an even more immersive experience. Enjoy a picnic lunch with a view, soaking in the serenity of nature before descending.

Evening: Relaxation by Lake Naivasha

After the hike, a short drive takes you to the charming town of Naivasha, where you check in at the cozy Taphe Guest Resort. Unwind after your adventure with a peaceful evening by the lake, where you might spot hippos lazily basking along the shores. Enjoy a delicious dinner before settling in for a restful night.

Day 2: Hell’s Gate National Park – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

Morning: Cycling Through Hell’s Gate

After an early breakfast, set out for the legendary Hell’s Gate National Park. Unlike any other wildlife park in Kenya, Hell’s Gate allows for cycling amidst free-roaming wildlife! Ride along a scenic 7-kilometer stretch, surrounded by towering cliffs and wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and gazelles.

After a short break at the ranger’s post, embark on a guided walk through the famous Hell’s Gate Gorge. Marvel at its stunning rock formations, naturally carved by water and wind over thousands of years. Your Maasai guide will share fascinating stories about the area, making the experience even more memorable.

Lake Naivasha & Optional Boat Safari

After exploring Hell’s Gate, head to the tranquil Lake Naivasha, where you can enjoy stunning lake views and abundant birdlife, including pelicans and fish eagles.
