Day 1 - Kigali city and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival, you will be picked from your residence or at Kigali International Airport (KGL). You will go for a city tour where you will visit the genocide memorial site, the local market, the old city of Kigali, have lunch, and drive to the Volcanoes National Park. You will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge/camp.

Day 2 - Gorilla tracking, fife time event, and afternoon relaxation

Have an early morning breakfast and get ready for this day's life time event of gorillas tracking. You will assemble at the park headquarters with packed lunch, have a briefing guideline while with gorillas.

Depending on the level of fitness, you may be asked to choose the group you wish to trek and the closest being about two hours or even a couple of minutes from the park boundary.

The trek is quite strenuous, so you should be able to hike for two to six hours on steep and slippery mountain trails. Descend to the lodge/camp for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 - Golden monkey tracking

Take your breakfast and head to the park headquarters then proceed to track of golden monkeys. After the remarkable adventure with the gorillas, you will have lunch and later visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village. Later, you will drive to Kivu Lake and stay at the Lake Kivu Waterfront Resort.

Day 4 - Lake Kivu and boat cruise

After breakfast, you will go for a boat ride and later drive back to Kigali. You will spend the night at the Hotel or lodge.

Day 5 - Game drive in the Akagera National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the impressive Akagera National Park, comprised of a blend of wetland, savannah, and woodland. Some of the wildlife you will see include giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants as well as a profusion of birds. You will be back to Kigali and spend the night at your Hotel of choice.

Day 6 - Departure

This day, you will have a city visit for souvenirs shopping and later drive to the Kigali International Airport (KGL) for departure.

"The cost for the safari is 3250 usd pr person for lodge safari and 2,100 usd per person for the  camping safari.

The  tour is available throughout the year.
