Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda – Kigali

Pick up from hotel or airport by our tour guide who will brief you about your safari, there hit the road driving north of Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park, viewing the spectacular scenery of the Virunga Mountains en route. For early arrival in Rwanda, you will enjoy a grand Kigali city tour, Tour the Gisozi genocide site, the national museum, the markets, and have lunch in Kigali before embarking on your journey to Ruhengeri – location of the Volcanoes national park. You will enjoy meals and stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park

You will wake up early at about 06:30 for a cup of tea / coffee and pick the packed lunch, drinking water, and a raincoat. Then, you will be transferred to the park headquarters in Kinigi by 07:30. In the park, you will be assigned with rangers and a particular gorilla family you shall track. Volcanoes National Park has up to 10 habituated gorilla groups for the tracking experience. Each gorilla group is tracked by no more than 8 travelers in a single day.

After the allocation and briefing from the rangers, you will be transferred to start your tracking just outside Volcanoes National Park. There, you will also find the porters who will carry your bags. When you find the gorillas, you are allowed to view and observe them for an hour, an hour of a lifetime. After that, you will return to meet your driver at the starting point and be transferred to your lodge to relax, have dinner, and sleep.

Day 3: Kigali

After having an early breakfast, you will head to the Iby'iwacu Cultural Village for enjoying a great dance and cultural performance by the Rwandan people. You will then check out and travel to Kigali, one of the most vibrant and fastest growing cities in Africa. You will visit the local markets and purchase some souvenirs such as crafts. You also get to visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Center. You will have lunch during the tour and be dropped off at your accommodation.
